Network Status Update for September 2025- UPDATED
Last updated on September 29, 2025 by The C.A.R.L.A. Team | Permalink
A couple of site trips were made in August/September to Northern Nevada and the Redding area:
CARLA 23: Is back on the air after finding the coax was removed from a previous customer decommission
job at the site. Repairs were made and the system is back on the air.
Update: 23 has had its 4-bay antenna realigned and is on the air.
CARLA 21: The primary power supply unit failed during winter and was removed for repairs and re-installation
at a later date. The site is currently running on the back-up PSU/Battery charger until repairs can be made.
The on-battery alarm has been by-passed.
Update: The power supply at 21 has been repaired and reinstalled. 21 is on the air and running on normal power.
Also, its local PL board was dead and has been replaced.
CARLA 24 is running on its battery bank and Samlex Charger/PSU. It’s main power supply was swinging from
12-16 volts every few seconds so it has a regulation or filter issue and has been shut off. Also, 24 has been
intermittent due to a flaky Power Amp. The PA has been bypassed. This site is on the air but running low power
on its main transmitter.
CARLA 25: Among other things, the link antenna was broken and pointing downward and the main repeater
was locked/disabled. Performed repairs and system 25 is now on the air. This also brings 13 and 20 back
on the Carla network as they get access via 25.
